Death Valley Yacht Club is a Duluth, Minnesota–based folk-Americana duo featuring Charlie Jacobs and Alex Oberton. Known for intimate, acoustic, harmony-driven songs, the pair writes about growing up, aging, and embracing change with warmth and simplicity.

Drawing inspiration from The Beatles, Pine Grove, The Milk Carton Kids, and Wilko Johnson, their sound blends stripped-down folk textures with thoughtful, melodic songwriting. In April 2025, they released their debut album Dead Flowers, a collection centered on the theme of change, with standout tracks like “Mechanical Heart” and the reflective closer “Getting Older.”

A fixture at local venues including Bent Paddle Taproom, Sir Ben’s, and Wussow’s Concert Cafe, Death Valley Yacht Club is rooted in connection—sharing honest songs, tight harmonies, and a genuine love for live music.
