MoonCats are a North Dakota–based “Americonscious Campfire Folk” trio formed in 2018 in Pick City. Known for their high-energy, all-acoustic performances, MoonCats have kept the fun in North Dakota’s music scene for all ages with singalong originals, the occasional well-loved cover, and a whole lot of heart.

Using a rich blend of American roots instruments—banjo, washboard, upright bass, mandolin, guitar, harmonica, and more—Slinger, Danny, and Sky paint vivid pictures of the plains and sing of the times. After countless shows and tours across the region and country, the tuned-in trio continues to deliver new and old-time sounds best experienced LIVE.

MoonCats will join forces with Pert Near Sandstone for the 2nd Annual North Country Hootenanny on February 28, 2026 in Grand Forks, promising a night of high-spirited string-band energy and campfire-style celebration... and, on October 16th, they'll be rocking the River Bottom in Henderson, MN!
